As the CEO of MLT Analytics, I am honored to have assumed the role of Independent Director of leading Japanese injection molding machinery manufacturer Nissei Plastic Industrial effective July 2022. As Nissei Plastic seeks to promote diversity among its board members, I am also extremely grateful that the company has invested its trust in me as their first foreign director.
From April 17 through 20, I attended Chinaplas 2023 in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China and while I spent a lot of my time walking the show floor searching for the latest innovations in plastics (OK I covered from Hall 9 to Hall 20, kind of, and I didn't make it to the remaining halls of the show that covered around 380,000-square-meters (4.1 million square feet) in all and featured close to 4000 exhibitors), I did spend a fair amount of time at the Nissei stand talking to the Nissei team and foreign visitors. The first real post-COVID 19 Chinaplas attracted 28,429 visitors out of a record total of 248,222 attendees, which was really impressive and I really felt a positive vibe for the future of the industry in China and globally. Be sure to also check out PlasticsToday for more coverage.
